This is the 1984 MPC Super Powers reissue of the classic 1960s Aurora kit. This version differs from the original in that it has a recast head, which I actually like better than the original 1964 head. My major modifications were the use of the "classic" large Bat symbol on his chest (without the yellow oval) and the dark gray/black color scheme. 

This was the first of many Batman kits that I've built since taking up the hobby. It was also one that I built when I was a kid. Everything old is new again...
