Silver Surfer

This is a kit that my nephews Ben and Alec gave me for my birthday this year (2002). They found the kit on eBay; it's a vintage 1989 vinyl kit from Horizon. Interestingly, the vinyl had hardened over time, so that it was more like assembling a styrene kit.

In any case, SS was pretty easy to assemble, and extremely easy to paint -- I used Krylon sterling silver spray paint. I probably could have done a better job puttying the seams (always a problem area for me), but overall I think it looks pretty good.

Thanks, Ben and Alec!
