This is an interesting little kit. It's a 120mm version of the
Golden Age Superman from the cover of Superman #1. What's interesting is
that I'm not really sure it's a legitimate model. In fact, I'm fairly certain
that this is a resin recast of the Superman #1 statue from DC's Superman Cover
to Cover series.
Wherever it came from, it's a neat little figurine to paint
up. Supes was a single piece, the resin base was another piece, and I mounted
the whole thing on a wooden base I spray-painted gold. Tough to paint these
small little guys, but I thought it came out okay. I stuck to bright primary
colors, to match the colors from the original comics cover.
