Superman #1

This is an interesting little kit. It's a 120mm version of the Golden Age Superman from the cover of Superman #1. What's interesting is that I'm not really sure it's a legitimate model. In fact, I'm fairly certain that this is a resin recast of the Superman #1 statue from DC's Superman Cover to Cover series.

Wherever it came from, it's a neat little figurine to paint up. Supes was a single piece, the resin base was another piece, and I mounted the whole thing on a wooden base I spray-painted gold. Tough to paint these small little guys, but I thought it came out okay. I stuck to bright primary colors, to match the colors from the original comics cover.
