This is a new resin kit I found on eBay, manufacturer/designer
unknown. It's the Fleischer
animated Superman, with the famous squint.
I painted this model in the Flesicher cartoon colors, with the
unusual black-background
chest emblem. (These emblem colors were never used in the comic books or
newspaper strips -- only in the cartoon.) My only color changes were using gold
(instead of yellow) for the emblem outline, and painting the belt black (instead
of the odd red belt used in the cartoons).
This model has an odd stance, leaning back with his neck
really jutting out. He also bears an uncanny resemblance to Randolph Scott, IMHO.
Paints were Ral Partha flat acrylics,
except for the gold, which was Ral Partha gold metallic. The base was spray
painted gold metallic. Putty was Squadron Green.
