Civil Rights Museum

The National Civil Rights Museum is built on the site of the Lorraine Motel, where Dr. Martin Luther King was assassinated in 1968. It's a terrific, very educational museum that covers the civil rights movement from before the Civil War to today. The room where Dr. King was killed was perfectly preserved. We recommend this experience to anyone visiting the Memphis area.
